Notes: The Webster homestead was on the off-road to the so-called “Dexter” place. This road leads easterly off the main highway nearly a mile beyond “Carman’s Rock” and just before reaching the lane (opposite) on the left leading into Oliver Van Meter’s place. Oliver was a well known and respected black man who died about 1905.
